For all the things you all do for us "kids" (even when we're eighty and have grandchildren of our own will still be "kids" to you *s*)....

Happy Mother's Day.

(is this a US only thing? I don;t remember. But I mean for everyone anyway)

I agree Sylva_cg76

Who can you turn to
When you are feeling blue
Who will always love you,
No matter what you do

Who trusts you when you doubt yourself,
And gives a gentle nudge
When you meet an obstacle
You cannot seem to budge

Whose promise can you depend on,
Whose very word is true
Whose arms will always open wide
To greet... or comfort you

Whose smile and laughter through the years
Has brightened up your day
Like a ray of sunshine sent
To drive the clouds away

Who will never leave you ...
Neither miles nor time can part
No one else but Mama ...
Nestled deep within your heart

Who else? ***MOM***

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all you strong and beautiful Mothers out there!! You know who you are!!!!

A Mother's Poem

I gave you life, but cannot live it for you.
I can teach you things, but I cannot make you learn.
I can give you directions, but I cannot be there to lead you.
I can allow you freedom, but I cannot account for it.
I can take you to church, but I cannot make you believe.
I can teach you right from wrong, but I cannot always decide for you.
I can buy you beautiful clothes, but I cannot make you beautiful inside.
I can offer you advice, but I cannot accept it for you.
I can give you love, but I cannot force it upon you.
I can teach you to share, but I cannot make you unselfish.
I can teach you respect, but I cannot force you to show honor.
I can advise you about friends, but cannot choose them for you.
I can advise you about sex, but I cannot keep you pure.
I can tell you the facts of life, but I can't build your reputation.
I can tell you about drink, but I can't say "no" for you.
I can warn you about drugs, but I can't prevent you from using them.
I can tell you about lofty goals, but I can't achieve them for you.
I can teach you about kindness, but I can't force you to be gracious.
I can warn you about sins, but I cannot make you moral.
I can love you as a child, but I cannot place you in God's family.
I can pray for you, but I cannot make you walk with God.
I can tell you how to live, but I cannot give you eternal life.

To all the Moms, Grandmas, Great-Grandmas, step-moms, mother-in-laws, Moms who gave up their children so that other Moms could raise them, women who *wish* that they could be a Mom, and all those women who are "just like a Mom"!

Happy Mothers Day!

All I ever needed to know I learned from my Mother

My mother taught me TO APPRECIATE A JOB WELL DONE - "If you're going to kill each other, do it outside - I just finished cleaning!"

My mother taught me RELIGION - "You better pray that will come out of the carpet."

My mother taught me about TIME TRAVEL: "If you don't straighten up, I'm going to knock you into the middle of next week!"

My mother taught me LOGIC: "Because I said so, that's why."

My mother taught me FORESIGHT - "Make sure you wear clean underwear, in case you're in an accident.

My mother taught me IRONY - "Keep crying and I'll give you something to cry about."

My mother taught me about the science of OSMOSIS - "Shut your mouth and eat your supper!"

My mother taught me about CONTORTIONISM - "Will you just look at the dirt on the back of your neck!"

My mother taught me about STAMINA - "You'll sit there 'till all that spinach is finished."

My mother taught me about WEATHER - "It looks as if a tornado swept through your room."

My mother taught me how to solve PHYSICS PROBLEMS - "If I yelled because I saw a meteor coming toward you would you listen then?"

My mother taught me about HYPOCRISY - "If I've told you once, I've told you a million times - Don't Exaggerate!!!"

My mother taught me about BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION - "Stop acting like your father!"

My mother taught me about ENVY - "There are millions of less fortunate children in this world who don't have wonderful parents like you do!"

My mother taught me THE CIRCLE OF LIFE - "I brought you into this world, and I can take you out."

Miss you Mom...
